Material Interruption

These mixed-media works use collage, assemblage, and material disruption to examine social systems embedded in images, objects, and environments. Addressing themes of ideology, extremism, fast fashion, queerness, and the exploitation of natural spaces, the work recontextualizes found materials to expose how meaning is manufactured, circulated, and normalized. References to hate imagery and political violence function as acts of confrontation rather than representation, positioning the work firmly against the systems it reveals. Across the series, material excess and fragmentation mirror the cultural saturation and instability these issues produce.
